Celebrating Independence Day with Fourth of July Books: A Patriotic Reading Adventure

Fourth of July with little kids usually means sticky red, white, and blue popsicles, the occasional meltdown from staying up too late for fireworks, and a whole lot of excitement over waving mini flags. But it can also be the perfect opportunity to bring a little learning into the mix—without it feeling like learning. Enter: books.

There’s something magical about seasonal books. They capture the excitement of a holiday, anchor kids to the meaning behind the celebration, and make for the best cozy read-aloud moments.
