“Let’s talk about delegation. You know, that magical thing where other people help, and we don’t try to do everything ourselves?

Spoiler alert: it’s harder than it sounds. Trust me—I’ve been the “I’ll just do it myself” mom far too many times, only to end the day completely drained and wondering why my to-do list looks the same as it did that morning.

But here’s what I’ve learned (the hard way): letting go and leaning on others—whether it’s Jimmy, my girls, or an intentionally thought-out service or subscription—has been the difference maker for our home. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about working together to get things done and make life a little calmer.

Here’s the mindset shift that’s been game-changing for us: thinking of our family as a team. Everyone—even the littlest members—can pitch in to help our home run smoother. Rather than assigning chores like a drill sergeant (though I won’t lie, a good “clean-up song” works wonders), it’s about building a sense of shared responsibility and celebrating the wins together, no matter how small.

And our team doesn’t stop at home! Services like grocery delivery, drive-thru car washes, or family task management subscriptions have become essential teammates, taking duties off my plate and ensuring what matters actually gets done. Delegation isn’t just helpful—it’s strategic!”
